Newly-elected Chicago City Clerk Susana Mendoza had this to say on Tuesday night to the people of Chicago: "I promise those stickers will stick!"That's a big promise, given the fact that the primary way Chicagoans interact with the City Clerk's office is through the purchase of the dread city parking stickers, which notoriously in the last time around did not stick well.
Mendoza, who is currently serving as a state representative, will be Chicago's first female City Clerk.
She beat opponent Patricia Horton 60 percent to 40 percent.
"I do have something in common with him: we're both short," she said.
